Fast Road & Stage 1: Sachs Performance Clutches

If you drive a daily commuter that has been treated to a Stage 1 remap, you need a clutch that can hold the extra torque without making the pedal feel like a leg-press machine in stop-start traffic.

  • We highly recommend Sachs Performance Organic clutch kits. These utilise an upgraded, high-friction organic compound and a strengthened pressure plate with a much higher clamping force. They feel incredibly close to a standard factory pedal but are rated to hold significantly more torque, making them the ultimate "fast road" upgrade.

Track Day & Stage 2+: Paddle Clutches (Cerametallic)

For heavily modified cars running larger turbos, aggressive Stage 2+ maps, or frequent track days, an organic clutch will eventually overheat.

  • For these extreme applications, we supply and fit Paddle Clutches (Cerametallic friction plates). Featuring a 4-paddle or 6-paddle design, these clutches grab the flywheel aggressively and will not slip under extreme load or high-temperature track conditions. (Note: Paddle clutches have a much sharper biting point and are strictly recommended for performance/track-focused builds rather than daily stop-start driving).

Upgraded Flywheels & Essential Hydraulics

Putting a heavy-duty clamping pressure plate onto a worn, high-mileage Dual-Mass Flywheel is a recipe for disaster. We meticulously inspect your flywheel and can supply upgraded, torque-rated replacements that match your new performance clutch. And, just like our standard repairs, we always replace the Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) while the gearbox is out, ensuring your hydraulic system can handle the increased pressure without blowing a seal.
